empowering you to be the full version of your true self
creating an action plan for your success
Who we help: young and mid-career professionals, physicians at all career stages

WHAT TO EXPECT
During our sessions, we will explore questions such as:
What is your purpose?
What are your values and beliefs?
What are your strengths and talents?
How are the above elements aligned/not aligned?
What would you like to have more/less of in your life?
What could be holding you back from achieving your full potential?
Although my coaching is oriented to helping people with their professional goals, we are people first and foremost.
Being in a safe space means that you can talk freely about any personal struggles that are getting in the way of your success. It also means feeling supported so that you can explore tough questions and face some hard truths.
HOW TO KNOW IF YOU’RE READY
To determine whether you could benefit from coaching, start by asking yourself what you would like to change in your life. When you have a clear idea of the desired outcome, coaching can help you achieve that outcome more quickly and easily.
It’s also important to know whether you are ready now to invest the time and energy required for coaching and translating it into real changes.
The commitment is up to you. Each coaching session is up to 60 minutes, scheduled at mutually convenient times. We meet by phone or using a virtual platform. How often we meet is up to you, most clients like to meet every 2-4 weeks, at least at the beginning. Whether it takes 2 or 10 sessions (or more), I’m with you on that journey to the very end. The commitment is about what you need, and my goal is to get you there as quickly and efficiently as possible.
My standard rate for a 60-minute coaching session is $300. I offer the flexibility of time-based contracts (e.g. 3-6 months) or pay-as-you go options. Contact me and we can discuss your preferences. I also offer special rates for not-for-profit organizations and students.
WHAT COACHING LOOKS LIKE FROM START TO FINISH
-
Initial consultation
Before making any commitments, we start with a 30-minute complimentary consultation to discuss your needs and to help you decide whether I am the right coach for you.
We would also discuss whether you prefer a time-based contract or flexible pay-as-you-go options.
-
The coaching begins!
The initial session begins with a deeper exploration of your current situation and desired outcome. This will help to further clarify the overarching plan for the coaching engagement.
Each session would tackle different aspects or goals that are steps along on your individual journey.
-
Are we there yet?
We will do periodic check-ins to confirm if we are going in the right direction to help you achieve your goals. I invite you to provide feedback to ensure that the way I coach matches your learning style.
When we agree that we’ve reached your goals, we will take time to celebrate what you have learned and the changes you have made.
THE WAY FORWARD
-
Dare to dream.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you feel something is missing in your life. Maybe you see yourself doing sometting different in 10 years.
-
What's in your way?
Remember that little engine who sang “I think I Can”? We have to believe in ourselves in order to be truly successful. More often than not, our mindset is the biggest barrier to achieving our dreams.
-
Plan then do it.
Time to move those ideas out of your head and into tangible actions. Coaching can help you plan your next steps to get you closer to your dream.
FAQs
-
On my home page, I ask the question “Are you feeling stuck?” I think we can all relate to the idea of getting stuck in a rut. Quite often, people find it easier to stay in that rut (and just complain), but sometimes people realize how bad things really are and decide they are ready for a change. This is where coaching has a role.
Maybe you want to apply for a new opportunity in your organization but are worried you don’t have the right qualifications. Maybe you are struggling in your current job and are feeling frustrated and burned out. Or maybe you want to improve your communication or conflict management skills to be a more successful leader. Perhaps you had always dreamed of doing something else, but don’t know where to start. Or perhaps you are embarking on a natural career transition (e.g graduation, retirement) and need some help to get ready.
Whatever the situation is, working with a coach means getting some help to problem-solve and develop an action plan. And along the way, we will uncover any assumptions that are getting in the way, build on your existing strengths, and align your values with your personal goals and aspirations.
-
This was one of the questions that my very first coaching client asked me.
The reality is that there might be some things you can’t share with even your closest friend, whether it is because you feel it is too sensitive or are afraid of being judged. As a coach, my role is to be an objective sounding board to help you freely explore possibilities and shift your thinking, maybe revealing some blind spots that are getting in the way of your success. Our relationship is professional, not personal, and I am bound by the coaching profession’s code of ethics, which includes maintaining confidentiality.
What happened to that first coaching client? At the end of our coaching relationship, they were blown away by what had changed in their thinking after just a few months of working together.

Coaching does have some overlap with other professional services, including counselling, psychotherapy, consulting, and mentoring. There are a few things that distinguish coaching from other services:
There is no inherent power imbalance in the relationship - we work with you as an equal partner.
Coaches don’t operate from the assumption that there is something wrong with you.
Coaching is focused on your present situation and future goals. If we talk about the past, it is to create awareness and learn from those experiences (both good and bad).
We believe that you are the expert in your life and work and already possess the answers to your problems (but perhaps you need some help to uncover them).
We hold you fully responsible and accountable for your own actions.

I’d say that once you figure out that you are ready to invest the time and energy required to make the most of coaching, just reach out. I offer a 30-minute complimentary consultation before you make any commitments. Like with any relationship, you need to feel comfortable with my interaction style and to feel safe in sharing your personal thoughts with me. I will also be honest with you if I think another coach would be a better fit for you, as we all have different areas of expertise.
